Hello class and guests,

If you were a 1970 graduate no doubt you are celebrating your 60th birthday this year (or maybe at the end of 2011).  So let me first say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of you!

I know it's hard to believe we are now considered Senior Citizens (by AARP standards anyway).  With the coming of age, also comes the loss of more of our dear friends and classmates.  We have posted several "In Memory" notices this year already.  Please send an email through this site if you hear of anyone that needs to be memorialized and we will post it.

I just got word that another 'Cruise Night' is planned for the spring.  I am posting the announcement just as I received it on FaceBook:

The 2012 "Cinco De Cruzo" Event is scheduled for May 5th in Old Gibson's parking lot at Pioneer and O'Connor. This 3rd Annual Cruise night will start around 8:00 in the evening and go until midnight. You don't have to have a Hot Rod to come either. Some of us Cruised in our Parent's cars too, so you can come in your regular car or bring your classics, motorcycles, fast and furious, Big Rigs or just a carload of friends......anything on wheels will be welcome. There will be Raffles and drawings and other things to be announced..So stay tuned here for more details...The VLC.

The last one was a lot of fun and pretty well attended.  It is open to anyone and all three High Schools are involved in the planning of these events.  It is also a great way to stay in touch with our class and get everyone together again.  If you are interested, and would like to have a MHS Class of '70 presence at this event, let me know and I'll put it out there via email to the class to see if we can make it a mini-reunion.

As we look to the future, we need to think about how we can build our bank account so we have something to work with when 2015 rolls around.  If you have any ideas about fundraising, please send us an email.  We'd love to hear them.

If you are new to the website, you can get off the missing list and start receiving all the emails and announcements by simply going to your name under classmate profiles, then fill in the blanks.

We love having new photos to share, so feel free to post on here as well.

Hope to see you all at Cruise Night!

Go Cards!!!!

Hey all you Cardinals! I saw some Crest Yearbooks on Amazon.com
There are several, including at least one from 1970.

I have recently decided to change careers after a full career in the apparel industry. If any of you have a current business that needs help, I need a job. My business profile is posted on LinkedIn.com if you would like to view it or you can send me a request thru LinkedIn to connect. If you would like to talk with me direct you can send a note to my personal email address tscmark@aol.com or call me at 214-499-6111.

Best regards,

Scott

Thanks to John Maynard, I have some first through third grade group photos from Barton and we are trying to identify the kids in it.  If you went to Barton, please send me a note and I'll forward them to you so you can help.

I noticed there are several yearbooks on Ebay that range from 1966 to 1971. If you know someone who has lost theirs, this might be a good source to get an extra one. Good Luck!
